Location: Kent

Charities aid foundation

CAF help people and businesses support the causes they care about, and for charities, they provide simple and straightforward day-to-day banking and fundraising services, freeing them up to concentrate on the real work of making a difference.

To provide a quality driven manned security service to a large property but only be in attendance for a few hours in the early morning and late evening to allow access to cleaners and contractors to perform their own specific duties throughout the building additional to securing the building throughout opening and closing times.

Possibly one of the hardest requests a customer can give to us due to the required split shift duration, bearing in mind having to be able to deliver it consistently through holidays and sickness.

We were fortunate enough to be able to secure the services of the incumbent Security Officer with many years of experience at the building but the difficult element of this contract was the relief cover due to the location of the building and the short hours of security occupation.

We took the bull by the horns prior to any relief requirement and instigated our “trained relief system” which consisted of a selection of hand-picked Security Officers to have prior training with the experienced Officer and our Contract Manager to receive the same level of training in order to cover in an emergency. The trained relief system was brought into operation almost immediately.

We also wanted to portray a more sophisticated image of security bearing in mind the location so  decided to introduce a high quality suit option for the Security Officer.

Having met Paul to discuss our requirements it became clear very quickly that km security solutions would be a professional supplier to deal with. The change over and TUPE arrangements were all handled very well and we enjoyed a smooth and completely stress free transition - Toby Obbard, Charities Aid Foundation
