SETE

SETE are a Mayfair-based commercial, retail and residential Property Management Company with the majority of their buildings within the Mayfair/Piccadilly region of the West End of London. SETE also own all the properties that they manage with the exception of one of which they employ the services of a well-established managing agent.

 

THE CHALLENGE

To assess the 24 hour security of four key properties within the SETE portfolio and suggest options on how the image, professionalism and security integrity could be enhanced at each property. All four buildings were within a two mile radius of each other. The properties themselves were also individual with a mix of commercial, residential and retail making the blend of security requirements different each time.

  • 17 Duke of York Street W1
  • 12 Berkeley Street W1
  • 1 and 2 Curzon Square W1
  • 5 Savile Row W1

 

THE OUTCOME

  • 1 and 2 Curzon Square – This property is situated just off Park Lane behind the Hilton Park Lane Hotel and is solely residential. There are 48 high specification apartments of which all have been occupied for the last 20 years!

We opted to have a mix of Concierge/Porters and Manned Guarding so that the high-end residents had a helpful presence from 0700-2100 and a manned guarding service from 2100-0700, 7 days a week. We proposed a completely new approach to uniform and provided a tailored business suit, shirt and tie for the concierge and a more traditional security uniform for the evening and weekend Security Officers (due to the requirement to patrol externally and to deal with any late night visitors to the apartments). This proposal was met with approval and accepted by Sete.

The properties are all operating in a different way with regards to security arrangements, but the customer is now delighted by the changes and often comments on our vision, helpfulness and ability to manage all the properties in a professional manner, leaving him to concentrate on his core business of purchasing and managing further properties within London.
